Overview
Aegis Mobile ensures that mobile content and
services delivered directly to consumers comply with industry
best practices for quality, content, and advertising and billing
transparency. Aegis was founded in 2006 and is headquartered
in Maryland, and led by Rich LaPerch.

Rich LaPerch,
CEO

Rich LaPerch is a passionate, hands-on leader whose
focus has been the development of organizations within a growth
environment. Rich has over 20 years of experience in the software
and telecommunications industry. Rich has led 3 venture-backed
firms over the past 10 years. Most recently Rich has been involved
in the wireless industry as a venture partner In Acta Wireless
and through his own company, TLG Communications, a start up
focused on fixed mobile convergence. Prior to Aegis Mobile,
Rich has been the CEO/President of Intersect Software, Vibrant
Solutions, and Call Technologies.
Rich has been successful in positioning each
of his companies for growth both organically, as well as through
acquisitions. He is a skilled negotiator with broad experience
in negotiating strategic deals, acquisitions and company funding.
While leading Vibrant Solutions, Rich made several acquisitions
and raised a series B round in 2002. In addition, Rich executed
a successful exit for Call Technologies when he sold it to 3Com
in March of 2000 for over $90M. Rich has extensive experience
in developing and executing business plans for start up organizations.
Rich is a former Army helicopter pilot and a graduate of the
United States Military Academy at West Point, Class of 1981.
Eileen Mercilliot,
COO - Eileen
Mercilliott has built an extensive docket of experience managing
products and services in the mobile content space. Prior to
joining Aegis Mobile, she managed carrier relationships for
LimeLife, a mobile content publisher of games; applications,
wallpaper and text alert services. Prior to LimeLife, she managed
Nextel’s content product line and was responsible for
content acquisition, programming, and content management infrastructure.
Eileen has worked in a variety of product, business development
and marketing roles in her 20 years in the wireless industry.
She has a BA in Communications from the University of Maryland
and a Masters in Business from the University of Maryland Graduate
School of Management and Technology.
